I have two powerbolt 1000 dead bolt locks. One on the front door and one on the back door. They have been installed for 10 months now. The front door started beeping. I suspected the batteries and removed the existing batteries until I had the opportunity to purchase new ones. After two days the back door lock started beeping. I removed these batteries as well. I installed new batteries in both locks and tested code and verified operation. They both worked correctly. What is strange is both locks start beeping after about 15 minutes and don't function correctly. I can remove the batteries install another new set of batteries and it works good for about 15 min than starts beeping again. I re-programmed the code again, tested. Again it starts beeping after about 15 min. Any suggestions?
I contacted customer support... they tell me the FAQ information on
their own website is incorrect. The opposite is true, therefore the
following is correct:

To provide a further bit of information. According to tech support the beeping can be caused by EITHER a bad keypad (about $15) or a bad circuit board (about $80, so, time for a new lock). The easiest way to tell is to:
After powering back up, if the unit keeps beeping, the circuit board is bad. But if it doesn't the keypad is bad. You can order the replacement keypads from Weiser via the 800 number listed in the previous comment.
