There's a jam that I can't seem to fix

It jammed when I was putting papers into it and although I cleared away what I could, the anti jam light is on and it is not working.

Make sure all switches are off. Look at blade section again and remove ALL items from blades, usually pulling with fingers is enough but you may need to use tweezers or other fine instrument to persuade objects to move. Be very gentle and don't force - use patience. When everything is removed put back together. Switch power back on and try again.

SOURCE: Huge paper jam ( piece of a checkbook)

Throw it out and buy a new one! staples won't replace this unit and your gonna have to take it apart and clean the gears.
Also tell your employees to stop reversing the drive gears with paper inside the bucket it only reverses the flow and jams the unit.
I would buy a cross cut shredder next time.
Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Staples SPL-1506X

Well, despite the manufacters warning label I choose to take the shredder apart and found that one of the plastic gears was broken. Hence the motor runs, but the blades do not turn. The thing I didn't understand, the there are metal gears and plasic gears...I can only imagine that the plastic gears at one point or another are going to give. I would suggest not to void the manufacters warrenty, take the shredder back, and get one that is built a little stronger. Hope that helps.

I have the Infoguard SX-100M Axeus, sold by Staples.
Only the reverse was working, UNPLUG and open back cover, the paper mechanical switch was working fine, the gears and fuse was ok, I think something on the circuit board was fried.
I switched the BLACK and WHITE wires with each other going to the shredder motor, thus when I switched it to reverse, it would go foward and shred. Its working now, only in reverse.

SOURCE: Royal 15mx only works in reverse after clearing jammed paper

try resetting the shreddar, unplugging it waiting for about 20 seconds and then plugging back in. Check to make sure there is no paper or paper clips stuck in the shreddar, make sure the unit is properly mounted on bin, the overheat light isn't on is it? if none of this helps and you have a warranty on your shreddar now would be a good time ot call them as you might have a hardware problem.

Hi, there is continous paper jam flashing light indicated at the printer (epson 600). i have checked but i found nothing jammed. i wounder i could be the reason. your support is...

Sorry - no solution, except to perhaps agree with the guy who says throw it out the window. I only wish I wasn't just on the first floor. This thing does more jamming than printing. It claims a jam when there is none. Infuriating.

Canon mf4010 paper jam error and red light does not seem to want to go away even though the paper jam has been cleared.

Check that the paper feed sensors are all loose and not tight. It may be that the feed senor arm leading to the fuser has been displaced.

Start with the paper itself. Make sure it is in the machine properly. Here is a short guide on a few things to check:

E-04 Clear Paper Jam, no paper in printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Paper jam in brother MFC 240C

Usually small pieces of paper are jammed at the print head area. Lift up the scanner and see if you can find the paper at the print head parking area, clear the paper . If you can't find the paper, remove the scanner cables, then the scanner. You will see 2 screws at the rear and one near the USB connection. Another 3 screws towards the front will remove the front panel. Under the panel remove 4 screws and the two panel harnesses. The is a speaker harness which you must remember to attach back later (most people don't remember to put back). Lift up the top cover and you can see the whole engine. Clear any pieces of paper that might be there.

Paper Jam

I have exactly the same printer, here's how to remove jammed paper.
1. Unplug printer from mains and your computer. 2. Turn Printer around 3. There is a darker-grey panel with a knob in the middle of it. Turn the knob anti-clockwise to release the panel 4. The jammed paper should loop around the roller. Gently pull on the loop slowly until it has released fully. 5. Put the panel back on the printer and turn knob anti-clockwise to lock it into place.
Hope this helps.
