Battery keyboard batteries low message

The Rii i8 is a wireless keyboard with a built-in touchpad and backlit keys. The yellow flashing light on the Rii i8 keyboard indicates that the battery is low and needs to be charged.
When the battery is low, the yellow light will start flashing, indicating that the keyboard is in low-power mode. To charge the keyboard, plug it into a USB port using the included charging cable. The yellow light will turn off once the battery is fully charged.

There's a good chance that all you need to do is replace the battery which most likely is a cr2032

you might want to try quality batteries. When you replace the batteries let the keyboard set with no batteries for e.g. 5 minutes so that it "registers" that the batteries have been replaced. Maby disable the onscreen message and just use the keyboard untill it stops working :-)

If you have another keyboard try swapping it out and see if it reads the new one. Also a stuck key could possibly cause this error. System battery message probably means you need a new battery for the motherboard. If you replace the battery get the new one before removing the old one. If you leave it out too long you can clear the CMOS

Your response to the clarification request was placed correctly.
Your keyboard must have a button on the bottom to sync with the USB transmitter. Press the button on the transmitter first and then the button on the keyboard. This will re-sync the devices in a new radio channel. Give it a try, it might just be a communincatin problem between the two.

The intellipoint software and drivers are not really needed for the the keyboard to work, even if it has special keys for functions like volume and such. As soon as your batteries start to run out you will be able to tell by the keyboard not responding properly to key-presses.

I just replaced mine. Your keyboard will not self-destruct. Go to Radio Shack and buy a CR2032 ($5 or so). Turn your TE over. Unscrew the hatch. You'll see the battery is in reachable distance. Pop it out. Put the new one in. That's all.

I would disregard the pop up as in most cases the batteries are still good. I'd use the mouse till it stopped functioning. Why it does that I haven't figured out yet. I beleive a value has to be changed in the Registry. If I figure it out I will let you know.

you have a resset onder the mousse, change the battery , and reinstall the driver

Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty. If not,
Try taking out your hard disk plug in power, if it works, hard disk is faulty. If not,
Try taking out memory card, if there's a sound, memory card faulty. If no sound, it's your motherboard that is causing the error.

Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.
