Cassette sensor switch inside the machine body. Remove cassette outside and check machine body bottom where cassette is installed. Switch Has been misalignment by unfortunately. Align this two Switch Sensor Then again install cassette. Hope its working.....
Please take out the paper cassette tray and see if there is a paper sensor hanging down underneath the machine. Also check to see if the paper cassette tray is lifting up. The tray should make a noise when lifting up. Check to see that the printer recognizes the correct paper size.
Turn the printer off. Pull the paper cassette out and push down the green tab down to see if there is any paper jam inside. put the cassette back in and turn the printer on. Worked on my kyocera FS - 1370 DN.
This can also be caused when the upper cassette tray (for small paper
stock / photo paper) becomes detached from the lower tray. There is a
gear attached to the lower paper tray which handles movement of the
upper paper tray. Make sure that moving this gear causes the upper
paper tray to move. If it doesn't, then you need to snap the upper
paper try on a little better.
You can use the paper cassette located at the bottom of the printer, on the front when the output paper tray is closed concealing the paper feed switch, the usb port and the cassette lamp.
1 Gently pull out the cassette from the printer.
2. Remove the cover from the cassette.
3. Place your paper in the cassette tray.
a. when using A5 or larger sized paper (non standard sized paper, pinch the tab and extend the cassette if needed.
b. legal sized paper is not loadable in the cassette
4. Do not load paper above the load limit mar4k.
5. Make sure the print side of the paper is facing down.
6. Align the paper stack against the right side of the cassette
7. Slide the paper guides so they fit the loaded paper stack.
8. The paper cassette will hold up to 150 sheets of plain paper, however you do not eant to stack any more than 50 sheets in the Paper Output Tray.
9. Reinsert the cassette into the printer. Then set the cover on the cassette. Now make sure the cassette is pushed al the way into the printer. (If long paper was used and the cassette was extended iy will now extend beyond the front of the printer
10. Prepare the paper output tray by opening the front cover and pulling out the tray extension until extended completely.
11. Press the paper feed switch so the cassette lamp lights.
You can slo select the paper source with the printer driver if you prefer .
MP tray is not the cassette it this flap that pulls down above it.
The machine will revert to asking to place paper in its MP tray when the information it is receiving about the document from whatever program tell it that the size is not the same as what the cassette is set to...
so, check page size in of document in word program or whatever you are using
also check paper type and size settings match those you just checked in the printers properties under printers in control panel.
If you put a piece of paper in the MANUAL BYPASS TRAY bot the cassette it will print on that.
To get evverything back to normal, turn off printer, delete jobs in print que, change paper size of document in word/excell/etc is set same as paper type in printer, print again.. all should be good...
p.s. these are good quality printers that why I bother to answer you... cheers
my dear sir please open the cassetle feeding unit it have two sensors ,may b there is some dust so please clean it .it is very good copier dont perchase new one it is very small fault only
Sounds like the paper out sensor for the cassette is either broken or jammed. Pull out the cassette tip the machine on its back and you should see a black arm hanging down. This should be able to swing back and fourth freely. Unless it is missing or broken.
