I think the symbol is actually a radiator, and it is warning you that the coolant level is low.

Can you, at least, describe the symbol or post a picture of the warning you are seeing? HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL?

It is the defective bulb warning light. It is a warning that a bulb has failed and needs to be replaced.There is a similar symbol that is an automatic transmission warning light but from your description I believe it is the bulb warning light. Hope this helps.
