I have a technics 1200 mk5 and when i put a record on the volume is low no matter how high i pt it up in the mixer. When i use it with serato it works fine. What can be the problem?

Years ago, Radio Shack sold a turntable with the same problem. The fix was to purchase a pre-amp to go between the turntable and the tuner/amp. I think this had something to do with a magnetic vs. ceramic cartridge?

The turntable loses its speed

Perhaps you should retrace your own lamp repair steps. Did you tamper with anything electrical? It seems likely you touched something inadvertently.

Pitch problems

You would need to calibrate them to each other. Not very difficult, but not that easy either.

I would suggest taking it to a service center, and ask them to calibrate the turntables to each other. It's a matter of adjusting VR302, which is located underneath the turntable platter. You'll also need a frequency counter or similar - which aren't cheap.

SL1210 MK5G PITCH REMOVAL ?

The fader for the M5G's are the same as for the MK5's. As for cleaning, you will have to do it like you did with the MK2, and go from underneath.

Torque Problem

They actually need to be "broken in". The mk5 uses a different pitch board, allowing you to reverse, pitch up and down to 16, and lock and unlock the quartz. The mk5 is more precise, so its also more sensitive. Notice the notches on the turntable shaft behind the tonearm weight. The mk5  is just make to be finer calibrated.....your decks are fine, and more so probably your mk2s as well.

Oh and also, the infinite lubrication used on technics that was developed in the 70s is no match for the formula developed in the late 90s. Slick!!
