Singer touch & sew model 625 won't pickup the thread from the bobbin.

If you are threading the machine correctly, the perhaps the bobbin and needle timing may be off. If you open and look at bobbin case; there is a hook. As you make the needle go up and down you can see if it is aligned or not. You can adjust the timing arm (screw) that allows the needle to go up and down to adjust the timing. It is located behind the face plate (left side of your sewing machine that opens). This link may show you what you are looking for.

You may have tangled thread or the bobbin not threaded right. Totally rethread your machine according to your manual. If, you do not have your manual handy, download one for free at singerco.com. Good luck

I have a Singer Touch N Sew Model 636. The

I had a Golden Touch 'N Sew many years ago and as the machine aged and parts became worn, step 4 of this bobbin winding diagram started to become a problem and I had to sometimes try several times before the "tabs" would release. If they did not release, the machine "thought" it was still winding the bobbin and would not sew.

Singer touch n sew 750 winding bobbins

You can find Singer bobbin winding instructions at http://www.singerco.com/resources/bobbin_wind.html.
"Birdnesting" occurs when there is no tension on the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. This is easily corrected by rethreading the machine, following the threading path carefully and making sure the thread is fully engaged in the tension mechanism.

Bobbin case retainer popping out on Singer Touch & Sew 625

Take the bobbin case out. Then when you go to put it in, realize there are 2 ways to get it. You have found one way. The other way is first look in the the slot with a flashlight before you insert it. There is a flat piece of metal the bracket needs to be slid under as it is inserted. This acts like a spring making it tight
