i have a Dell ultrasharp u2410. I turn the screen on and you can see the blue light ascending, but hen it stops and only orange light comes on and nothing, I think it says in power save mode.
I would suspect the power supply problem first, look for bad caps with bulging top. Post back what you see so we can guide you further. See example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Be sure the the headset in in 'Pairing' mode. When in pairing mode, the light should be flashing red and blue or have a steady blue.
The put most headsets in pairing mode, turn headset OFF, then hold the power button until it goes into pairing mode as discribed above.
Then you can discover it with your phone or PC. Pin (pass key) should be 0000 (4 Zeros) or try 1111, 1234, 9999
Dell monitors automatically go into power-save mode after a preset
amount of time when the computer is inactive. The Dell monitor will go
completely black, instead of showing a screensaver. This doesn't mean
that your Dell computer
has shut down. Instead, this allows your monitor to essentially turn
off until it's needed again. You can change how long it is before the
Dell monitor goes into power-save mode by changing your display
settings.
Step 1
Press
any key on your keyboard or move your mouse. Either will turn off
power-save mode. Alternately, you can press the power button on your
Dell computer tower or laptop.
Step 2
Press
any key a second time if the monitor goes from power-save to stand-by
mode. Stand-by mode allows the screensaver to appear.
Step 3
Enter
your user name and password into the login prompt if your computer
requires a login. Press "Enter" to begin using your Dell computer.
Step 4
Change
the display settings on your Dell monitor to prevent your monitor from
going into power-save mode prematurely. Right-click anywhere on your
desktop and choose "Properties." Click the "Screensaver" tab and press
"Power." Beside "Turn off Monitor," choose a time amount from the
drop-down list and press "Apply."
Try hitting the "Windows" key on your keyboard to bring it out of sleep mode. The "Windows" key is generally found on the bottom row of the keyboard, near the Alt and Ctrl keys, and it has no letters on it, just the Windows logo. That key brings my Windows Vista machines out of sleep mode when other keys won't.
As for the power button, anytime you need to force a computer to turn off, you can press and hold the power button to do so. Usually, you need to hold the power button for 5-10 seconds and it will shut down. Use this option with caution, as it turns the computer off without running through the shutdown process and can cause you to lose data.
Dear Rameez, it means your computer is in trouble.try contacting the customer
service. its usually due to loose connection between the hard disk
cables or your RAM...but avoid opening the cover, call service care
instead.
