I dont remember what my yahoo mail user name was and password

Your Yahoo mail user name will be your Yahoo e-mail address. To retrieve a password, go to mail.yahoo.com and click the link "I can't access my account". It will ask you some questions that you need to answer. Then Yahoo will e-mail you the password.

Now if you really can't remember your user name, you need to create a new account.

Thank you and good luck!

  5. Under Username again provide the same email address as in step 2
  6. Click Save
  7. Select IMAP4 under Mailbox type
  8. Under Incoming server, enter imap.mail.yahoo.com
  9. Under Outgoing server, enter smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  10. When asked for SMTP authentication, leave it on
  11. Again just click Save when it shows you SMTP username and password
  12. Under Account name, enter any name and click Save
  13. When it asks for Update inbox now?, click No
  14. Click Done
  15. Now click your account name
  16. Click the top left button and select Settings
  17. Under Access points, select the access point of your current network
  18. Scroll down further and select Advanced settings
  19. Under both SMTP TLS/SSL and Incoming TLS/SSL, select SSL
  20. Now click Save
That's all... Your email is setup now. To access your email, open your account and from the top left menu options, click Synchronisation. If everything is Okay, it will login to your account, and retrieve any custom folders that you have created in Yahoo Mail. Now, open each and every folder, such as Inbox, select Synchronisation from the top left button menu. It will retrieve your emails from the corresponding folder.

Some body is accessing my yahoo mail and sending mails to all the address received in my mail box. Today i tried to access my yahoo mail i am unable to access

In case of a hacked account send a mail describing your problem to [email protected]. If this doesn't help, call Yahoo: 1-408-349-1572 (personal account) and 800-318-0783 (business account), explain to a customer service person what happened. They will ask you to do certain things and then they compare your original info with the changed info. Within 24 hrs you should get your account back!

Hi There, In the US, getting my yahoo email (using Mail program on a MacBookPro) (yes I have yahoo plus) works like a charm. But here in Canada, most of the time, the password gets rejected... what's give?

To set up access to a free Yahoo! Mail account in Mac OS X Mail:

* Install MacFreePOPs and make sure the freepopsd service is running.
* Select Mail | Preferences... from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
* Go to the Accounts category.
* Click + at the bottom of the Accounts list.
* Type your name under Full Name:.
* Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address (e.g. "[email protected]") under Email Address:.
* Type your Yahoo! Mail password under Password:.
* Make sure Automatically set up account is not checked.
* Click Continue.
* Make sure POP is selected under Account Type:.
* Enter "Yahoo! Mail" under Account Description:.
* Enter "localhost" (without the quotation marks) under Incoming Mail Server:.
o If you run into problems using "localhost", try "127.0.0.1".
* Type your full Yahoo! Mail address ("[email protected]", for example) under User Name:.
o Mac OS X Mail probably has already entered your user name, and it's enough to append "@yahoo.com" to complete the address.
* Click Continue.
* Click Continue again, ignoring the error. We'll take care of that in a bit.
* Make sure Password is selected under Authentication:.
* Leave Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) unchecked.
* Click Continue.
* Select an existing mail server to send mail under Outgoing Mail Server:.
o You cannot send mail through MacFreePOPs. If you have no outgoing mail server through your ISP, you can use a Gmail or AIM Mail account's.
* Click Continue.
* Now click Create.
* Highlight the Yahoo! Mail account in the Accounts list.
* Go to the Advanced tab.
* Enter "2000" (not including the quotation marks) under Port:.
* Close the Accounts window.
* Click Save.

o If your Yahoo! Mail address is [email protected], do type "[email protected]" (omitting the quotation marks).
