SOURCE: IT IS A NEW AMP.

Return this for WARRANTY replacement or repair. This could be a bad electrolytic cap... do NOT risk voiding the warranty.

SOURCE: After being played for about 5-10 minutes speaker

There are so many things that go wrong with amps. That isn't too much of detail to really say what could be wrong with it. Just take simple steps such as try a new cable. It could also be your bass. Try plugging your bass into another amp and see if it kicks out. If it kicks out, then take the pick guard off and make sure all the wires are properly welded and in tact. If the bass DOES work in another amp with a different cable.

Inspect the amplifier tubes if the amplifier sounds weak or muddy. Amplifier tubes are fragile and may go bad at anytime. Bad or weak tubes will cause the amplifier to be weak, and the tone to become muddy or overly distorted. Sometimes the tubes become loose and fall out of their tube sockets. Look in the back of the amplifier and examine the tubes. Make sure all the tubes are in their tube sockets. Healthy tubes will glow with a soft amber/orange color. Weak tubes emit a bluish/purple color and overpowered tubes are an intense reddish color. If the tube is not glowing, it is broken or burnt out. Replace broken or weak tubes.

Inspect the speaker cables and wires in the amplifier. A loose speaker cable may also be responsible for the amplifier not working. Make sure the speaker cable is plugged in to the amplifier and that the speaker cable is firmly connected to the speakers in the amplifier.

Clean the volume and tone pots on the guitar if the guitar is producing a scratchy sound or no sound when manipulating the volume and tone controls. The guitar pots need to be cleaned periodically because of the sweat, grime and debris that builds up in them. The contamination in unclean pots is what produces the irritating scratchy sound. Pull off the volume and tone tops and spray contact cleaner into the pots. Move the volume and tone controls back and forth to allow the contact cleaner to penetrate more effectively.

Clean the volume and tone pots on the amplifier with contact cleaner. The pots on the amplifier also need to be cleaned. Dirty pots on the amp cause scratchy and irritating noises. Remove the knobs and spray the pots with contact cleaner. Replace the knobs.

then i'd send it to your local music store and try to get it repaired (thats if it's a valuable amp). The only thing you can do is send it into a professional.

Good luck and take care..

I have a Kustom Bluetooth PA speaker. Models PA 40 BATBT That gets no sound? How can I diagnose this problem?

The symptoms you described suggest that there may be several possible issues with your Kustom Bluetooth PA speaker. Here are some steps to diagnose the problem:
  1. Check the battery: Ensure that the battery is fully charged or replace it with a new one if needed. If the battery is old or worn out, it may not provide enough power to the speaker, causing the crackling sound.
  2. Check the connections: Make sure that all cables and connections are properly plugged in and secured. Loose connections can cause crackling sounds or no sound at all.
  3. Check the volume: Turn up the volume on both the speaker and the device connected to it (such as a phone or tablet) to see if that resolves the issue. If the volume is too low, it may result in no sound or faint sound.
  4. Test the mic and instrument input: Try connecting a different microphone or instrument to the speaker to see if the problem is with the original mic or instrument. If the new mic or instrument works, then the issue is likely with the original device.
  5. Check the speaker components: If none of the above steps work, there may be an issue with the speaker's components. It's best to bring the speaker to a professional technician or authorized service center for repair.
Hopefully, one of these steps will help you diagnose and resolve the issue with your Kustom Bluetooth PA speaker.

Left speaker not working, system crackles if left side is active, alright when left side shut down.

Get a meter and check the resistance on the speaker. Looks like a speaker may be blown but with the description of the crackle noise from the slide controls you might have a bad pot in the unit or the pot has come loose from the board. This could explain why the speaker blew out

Crackling speaker as soon as i switch on my digital piano

It looks like the Korg c-15s has a internally mounted speaker and so I will assume that the speaker and amplifier are part of the piano base. It sounds like either the speaker is blown (crackling sounds heard as deformed voice coil scrapes the magnet structure) or the audio amplifier is distorting the audio.

Connect the piano's output to an external amplifier and speaker to properly identify problem.

My mackie thump amp will start to have a loud cracking sound. The cracking goes away if I have the input line unplugged from the speaker but with it plugged in it has the cracking sound and it does not...

Crackling is usally one or two things my guess would be bad grounding of the amp or bad connection with the jacks or plug it self try to make it crackle on purpose by jiggling the jacks see if it has any effect on the crackling try to narrow your possibilitys

Crackling sound in speaker

These speakers have a history of being blown if played too loud. Apparently the higher quality CX version are reliable. If the lows are what is crackling, the voice coils are probably cooked causing it to drag the pole pieces.

Static and crackling noise from the right speaker

It could be that the input jack is or cable is damaged. The input to the right speaker is from the left speaker via speaker cable. Check that wire and try a new one. All speakers are susceptible to some type of interference. Make sure the cables aren't tangled and free from other powered equipment.

Hope this helps

I have Behinger Europort EPA900, One speaker crackles, tried swopping cables etc, but nothing helps, the problem seems to be definitely with the speaker.

Open the speaker and look for loose connections. Carefully move cone with fingers. If there is noise when doing so...rubbing type noise, speaker needs reconing or replacing. If the crackling comes from teh tweeter section, then the tweeter may need replacing.

I have purchased a beheringer 1832fx usb mixer and I have connected my computer to my mixer that has a usb interface on the back in order to play my backing tracks, music, via my computer, and when I turn...

The main mix controls ALL outputs simultaneously.

The mic channels are controlled individually by the sliders.

It sounds like you are on the verge of feedback where the mics are picking up the PA speakers.

Make sure you have loaded the support SW and make sure you have disabled ECHO as the mics may be looping back through the computer causing the rattle.

Hi. When switched on the speaker makes a loud constant crackling sound. Nothing will work, no keys, stops, anything. Just a loud crackle!

This usually means that the speaker is blown. Try running through a different setup and see if it fixes the problem. Hope this helps
