This is the 300 ohm adapter you need from radio shack and just install some small gauge speaker wire to it. or just splice the one that came with your receiver.

I get static. When I walk by the receiver it will stop sometimes.

Try re-orienting your antenna. I assume that this is when you are listening to FM. Most of the wire antennas don't get hooked up, or are just dropped on the floor. If possible, hold it up vertically. Only one end of this wire should be connected, and it should go to the 75 Ohm input. The length should be at least a meter long (3 feet).

Only 2 FM stations working. I have an Insignia Stereo receiver. At first, we could get all of the FM stations, then all of a sudden we can only get two. The antenna has not been moved from where it or

If you have an external antenna, check you antenna connections.
Weather can change your reception. Are the stations you can hear local? within 30 miles? Or is there an amplifier on your antenna system? It may have quit functioning. if you have cable TV you might want to hook up your stereo to that system, you will need a 75 to 300ohm adapter that you can pick up from an electronics store or online.

Coaxial FM antenna

Radio Shack has an
adapter catalog number 278-0291. It takes some effort to push the 278-0291
adapter onto the FM UNBL 75 ohm terminal so wait until you have the 278-0291
installed before you connect your 75 ohm coax on to your new adapter.

This will resolve your FM screw on F connector antenna interface issue.

I see others trying to
help suggest using a 300 ohm to 75 ohm transformer match unit, this isn't what is needed. Your receiver antenna input IS a 75
ohm input.

How to get am/fm stations to play. I have a hook

you can buy one online or you can make one out of audio, lamp, or antenna wire. cut about 10 ft of wire and split the wire about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way. that is to pull the two ends at one end of the wire in opposite directions. the wire looks like a T. the bottom of the T hooks to the receiver, the other end spreads out along the wall. the 2 ends at the rec. hook to fm and gnd or am and gnd. i hope i have made this clear.

Yamaha htr5230 hookup

Hi, Your receiver is really the same as my HTR 5240. Same back and front. basically. Go to Retrevo for manual. Shows all the hook ups. I have VCR , DVD, Tape Deck, hooked to mine but can't find the adapter so i can hook up my indoor fm antenna. All my components plug to back of receiver then there is one RCA wire running from receiver to Tv.
