Since you declined to specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 phone, you may select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.
There may be a button on them called channel search, or something to that effect. Try using that, it will change to a different channel and the static might leave.
Wifi typically operates in the 2.412Ghz - 2.472 Ghz depending on the channel selected. ideally the Wifi modem/router and the DECT phone should be operating in completely different bandwidths.
If your DECT phone is cutting off your Wifi wireless connection, then they must me operating in similar/same range: you need to change either your Wifi or DECT frequency 'channel' to minimize this interference. Also make sure that there is a least 3 meters between the DECT base station and your Wifi modem/router to eliminate Transceivers static RF/EMF interference.
It is possible one of your neighbors purchased a similar phone and you are on the same channel.
Check your instructions and see if you change the channel.
I have a dect 6.0 cordless phone and all of a sudden it started making this very loud, high pitched continuous whisltling sound. It only stopped when I took the batteries out. After putting them in the phone seems fine now.
Any ideas what happened?
Try powercycling the basephone and remove the battery from the cordless phone, wait for 10 sec and then reconnect the battery, after that connect the power to base phone, probably it will fix the issue.if your phone have the option to change the channel, try changing the channel to 11 or 6.try and get it fixed.
Normally , one base can register 4 hanset in EEPROM setting. The model, Maybe you can try press the "page" key, then plug the power cord , after 5 to 6 second , release "page" key. Try to register handset again.
I had the same problem with my uniden 5.8 ghz phone. After placing a filter (from the phone company) into the wall jack and plugging the phone into that filter the static noise was eliminated completely. Hope this helps.
