It is the one that is blue in color and has an L on it for low
pressure. The vapor line is also called the suction line. If your
confused, then choose the larger of the two lines near the accumulator.

Try checking the monitor to PC cable, if it's not fully on it will cuse color spread like you describe. One of the pins may not be inserted into the cable properly.
this might be due to power supply failure.
check fuse, switching transsistor, maincap& bridge rectifier ckt.
if it is ok than check for h/section failure.
check for h/output transistor &flyback transformer.
