The mamory IC inside the circuit of your tCL tv is faulty. Memory IC is one which transfers data to main system IC when we switch the set ON each time. Now it transfers the data to the system IC ofcourse, but not memorize the [LPM]; last position memory. This IC can be located very nearto the main system IC; will have 8 solder terminals. It can be easly unsodered out and resodered in. Its number is most important. Keep a keen look on its number and buy an exact replacemnt. It will be very cheap to buy, and can be had from most of the electronic spare part shops at your town. OK.

an a3 should work but your plug should say on it or take yours to the hobby shop and match it up

Usually if a problem of a monitor is the main IC itself, it is recommendable to buy a new one (since the price of the main IC is almost the same price as a new one itself. (depending on where do you reside) in our country, we consider buying a new one when the issue is the IC itself since here, the price of the IC is almost the same price if you buy a new one (about USD 100 for a new LCD monitor, while a main IC costs about 70 to 90 USD)
