Hi, I have error code E72. Having seen other similar posts I have replaced the temp sensor on the dryer condensor but still no heat? Any ideas gratefully received. Tim
E72 can also be caused by broken wiring to the NTC(Sensor). If the wiring is low voltage( very thin wires) then pull gently on the wires where they go into the NTC. If they break away there is the problem, you would need to replace the wiring harness for that NTC. Also, check the fan motor is running and the belt on the ventilator has nt stretched. If all is ok check the condenser is nt blocked with lint

I have exactly the same problem, I am doing some testing with mine at the moment and I believe it to be one of the two thermostats in the heating chamber.
If you was to remove the top cover you'll find a long silver cilinder running through the middle of the unit. Looking from the front there are two modules on the left side (thermostats) with 2 wires connected to each towards the back of the dryer. These measure the temperature inside the heating chamber, on removing them the heat stays on, you have probably noticed the dryer is not even getting hot so the moisture sensor won't pick up any moisture in the air so the dryer trying to be cleaver with think the clothes inside are dry and finishes the cycle early.
I wouldn't reccomend removing these thermostats as it will probably overheat and cause a fire risk, however they should only cost a couple of ££ to replace.
Now I've just got to try and source the parts!!

E40 is door interlock error, it means that either the door interlock is stuck or faulty, or the wiring from door interlock to main control board are not connected.

Not sure how full the drum is when you are using the dryer, but I have this appliance and it works best if the drum is half full. If the drum is full, things don't dry properly because the air can't circulate.
If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine and I haven't ed4 in my fault code list for Zanussi BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters.
If this does not cure, you will need a service call, sorry ;-0(
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the filter and the motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
check out this electric no heat tip...
