Kindle entirely depends upon WiFi to access the internet. Following are the few simple tricks you can try one by one to fix the Kindle Won't connect to wifi error.
Refresh the Kindle Device
Switch Router
Distance of Router and kindle
Must select the 1-11 channel
Connect your kindle with the 2.4 GHz band

Your best option may be to go ahead and tell the device to forget, then set up the WiFi connection again.

The issue seems to be on the mother board.
only an authorised HTC service center can help on this.

On some phones there's a setting or a button that switches it on and off, try looking for them and switching it on.

Expecting your PC (having no inbuilt/internally installed WiFi adapter) to pick up tethering/hotspot WiFi signal (from your phone) without a WiFi adapter attached/connected into your PC's USB port is the same as expecting your PC's low battery to charge to full capacity when the power cable is not connected to the power supply point.

Get WiFi adapter connected to your PC first and then attempt to connect to your phone's wifi tether/hotspot

Nothing is wrong with your phone please

if you have any email messaging service on this phone that needs to connect to the server to check emails even without using it it will try to sync to the server to get an email and its eating up the battery charge.

theres a settings to check the email every 5 mins or so, you can set it to manually sync your email so it wont eat up your battery life.
Its also applicable if the wifi is on because it will try to search for a wireless network.

If ever non of this is enable with your device, no email messaging or wifi is off. then use a known good battery. the battery pack that came with your device is defective

I have the same problem here. But now, it seems to power off occasional even when wifi is not turned on
