I have a Vip211z connected to a Samsung PN51F4500 via HDMI. I get picture but no sound. I connected it to another TV and it works perfect. I connect a different source to same HDMI input on TV and it works fine. It's a 33' foot directional HDMI cable...is there a known compatibility issue between the Sat box and the TV?
SOURCE: No Satelite Signal Indication
The "front end" of your Receiver might be defective. Since your other unit is working then what might be happening is the signal to your unit might be dropping, to check this I would use a Satellite power meter, however if you do not have one you can use your other unit and connect it to the cable that your supposed defective unit is connected to. If the unit works then the problem is the supposed defective unit, if the unit does not work then this denotes a possible cable problem. Tell me if this works for you?
SOURCE: connection to TV by HDMI cable
The 625 is not a high definition receiver and therefore does not support hdmi. You can use RGB or S-video to provide a higher quality picture than the coax output. If you need more options let me know. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
SOURCE: How to connect a PS2 to a TV through a Hughes Direct TV box
unfortunately you cannot run a ps2 or any other device through the receivers. take a look at the tv may have inputs on the front or side of tv where you can use red/white/yellow cabling OR take a look at what type of cabling your tv does support and go from there. hope this helps.
