Optoma PK301 lost a color

My Optoma Pico Projector PK301 (abused by my kids watching movies on the wall) now no longer shows the color of magenta in the picture. Is this the projector bulb? Or something else? Danni

It is not correlated with bulb
1,the color starts to go out, it become the white and black, the color is disappear.
2,then,the projector running off after only a few minutes,
it is a general issue:the inductor need to be cleaned
Use a cotton swab moistened with alcohol to clean the inductor.
the inductor (Sensing element),is near to the Color Wheel.
the industor : is a black little element,as little as 3 sesame seeds

Did you let the projector sit with that slide on for a while? If so, what you have is called burn-in and it is when the image gets kinda locked into the LCD, and it will show up as the LCD get warmer. If you still have a warranty, I would return it for a new one, and make sure that the images used on it don't remain fixed for a long period of time. Hope this helps!

DV-10 lost Color

It sounds like the color wheel broke, If you are good and experienced with electronics and can handle them safely, then open it up and check this part. This part spins and is the one in charge of producing the colors for the image.

Please let me know if you need any further help or have questions about this.

Thanks
