The ampersand key on my Belkin keyboard producess " instead on my Nexus 7; my input language is English UK

I have a nexus 7 and a belkin wireless keypad - no mouse. my language is English UK. the @ and " keys are reverserse which is irritating and confusing, especially for email and passwords. I cant find a way to change this but I know it can be done with PCs and full keyboards.

I read some other posts on this issue with keyboards and @ problems in general. I then set the "physical WIFI keyboard" to UK - it was set as default - and now the @ key works properly and the " key too! Thanks for help.

SOURCE: Belkin Wireless Mouse

Today I tried pressing the reset button on the bottom of the mouse, and at the same time pressed the button on the top of the remote reciever. I'd pressed both in the past, but never at the same time. This seems to have fixed this problem. I hope it's a solution for others also.

SOURCE: wireless belkin keyboard

Hi. I have just worked out how to solve this as I had a similar problem. When you change the batteries of a Belkin Wireless Keyboard model F8E332ukBNDL you need to reconnect the keyboard to the wireless receiver that plugs into the USB port. To do this you press the 'Connect' button on the receiver and also press the green LED connect light at the top right of the keyboard - the one that flashes each time you press a key. I'm not sure in what combination you press these but I pressed them both and it worked.

SOURCE: belkin wireless keyboard receiver won't work with my laptop

Yes and no...
"Wireless enabled" means you do not need a separate adapter to connect to a wireless NETWORK or computer, not a peripheral device.

I assume the two connectors are PS/2- plugs - one pink, the other one green. What you need is a PS/2- -to-USB adapter that should have come with your keyboard. PS/2-in, USB-out, either with or without the cables (see picture)

tip

When I try to type the ampersand ( @ ) I get the quotation ( " ) sign instead

PROBLEM: Some keyboard characters type incorrectly and are swapped. Most notably the Ampersand - @ and the Quote sign - "

RESOLUTION: The wrong country selection for the keyboard layout has been selected. An ENGLISH - UK keyboard with an ENGLISH - USA keyboard type selected or the reverse.

Go to CONTROL PANEL, REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE settings and select the correct keyboard for your system's country of origin.

Hi my keyboard has a problem my @ sign only works the number 2 key and the icon on the number 2 key only works on the @ key

In Windows, open the Control Panel, select Regional Language Options (in Vista this under Clock, Language, & Region). Select the Languages tab. In XP, click on details and set your keyboard to English (UK) (in vista, click on Change Keyboards). This should get the correct output for your keyboard.

Nexus One

Adran,
The Nexus One runs on the Google Android 2.1 open source mobile operating system. Fresh from the factory it supports Keyboard languages in English (U.S), French (France), German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), and Display languages in English (U.S), French (France), German, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Korean, Japanese, Russian

For Scandinavian letters you can download: Scandinavian Keyboard by Trygve Aaberge Also download the Finnish Dictionary by Tero Auvinen (made for the Scandinavian Keyboard). Although they are for the Android, due to the Nexus One running on the Androids OS (operating system) you should have no problems. I hope this helps and good luck!

There's nothing wrong with your keyboard hardware. You want to change your keyboard layout from english UK to english US.
In windows (I assume your in windows)
1. start, controlpanel
2. regional and language options
3. Set the default input language to English US
4. in the box " Installed services " add a keyboard layout for (English United States)
