Whenever black color appears it is printed twice

Press copy and photo at the same time and print a demo sheet. Look at the eyes of the two kids in the picture, if they look like zombies, your printhead is clogged. try cleaning the printhead and print the demo again. If it's the same, you need a new printhead. Call Kodak.

The option to clean the printhead is on the Kodak AiO Home Center, when you open it you need to click on the Question Mark (?) and then, under General Links, click on "Maintenance", then a new window pops up and you will see the option to clean the printhead.
Although, most likely it still won't work, so I recomend you to call Kodak AiO Printer support at 1-800-421-6699 to have your printhead replaced.

I found this out when trying to do the same with Epson (after talking to their tech support). The printers with printheads that are reusable (Epson, Canon, Kodak, and whoever else) force you to replace the empty cartridge so that air doesn't get drawn into the printhead, killing it off. The tank still has a little ink in there to keep it from drying out. It's cheaper to replace the cartridge than getting a new printhead.
