The head of the mixer is vibrating (shaking) a lot when mixing. It does this so much that I feel as though I need to hold onto it when it's mixing. If I turn it on without the bowl and just run the...

I am sure you are locking the tilt head in the down position when your using it right? If so then check to see if the beaters are hitting the bottom of the bowl. If they are then there is an adustment screw that sets the height of the head in the down position.

Just stoppped working and we are having dinner for 15 people today , tried the reset button. any advise please johanna

WHEN A KENWOOD CHEF STOPS RUNNING THE FIRST THING TO TRY (PROVIDING IT HAS NOT SMOKED FIRST) IS TO TURN THE TWO SCREWS CLOCKWISE THAT FIT ON CORNER OF MOTOR. SMALL SCREWDRIVER THROUGH PLASTIC COVER WILL DO IT AS THESE ARE A FINE TUNER AND CAN SOME TIMES VIBRATE LOOSE

The pin that holds the mixer to the stand keep working it's way out when I mix dough.

Hi, Mixing Dough is tough. the neading hook really works hard and the pin will like to wander out on the left side of the mixer "right side if your facing the it". What I did was find an smaller elastic band and with the pin sticking out a 1/3 of an inch from the opposite side from which it wanders out.

loop the band on it as many times as possible so its stays on tight . with this you now have a bumper and as the pin vibrates to wander out the elastic bumper will gently keep pulling it back during the vibration cycle keeping it in check .

Works perfect but still inspect the pin and bumper before each use.

Does anyone know the model number of a stainless steel bowl to fit the Kenwood Chef KM300/

The model number doesn't really exist other than the fact that the stainless steel bowl is available for just about every Chef made. My own KM300 has a stainless steel bowl for example that came as standard - it however is the same bowl you can order from Kenwood or EBay under the A701/A901 model - all bowls from Kenwood can be fitted on the Chef model with the exception of the Major model which is a larger and taller machine.

KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer - Tilt is Tilting too Much & hits the bowl!

This may have a simple solution: This sounds like an issue of beater to bowl adjustment, which can come out of alignment naturally over time and with use of the machine.

If the flat beater is striking the bottom of your bowl, this may cause the locking mechanism to loosen and may cause the mixing head to "bounce" during use.

Your Use and Care Guide will cover the "beater to bowl adjustment," which you can do at home in a few minutes with a flathead screwdriver.
