    Who is 6ya anyway??

  • Anonymous Nov 04, 2018

6ua , is fixya cash grab.
fees for service, you call them and pay and find the phones talking is useless too.
    the overheat is simple
the fan is dead, or can not blow air past the radiator, out the exhaust vent.
    99% of cases.
    no need for phone talking,
get the PC serviced, tell them it overheats,
and to clean It out so it does not overheat.
90Centigrde also the processor (CPU) self shuts down at . by DESIGN, saving its own BACON.
    yes I do.
    and is here, with photos.
    http://www.pcdied.com/overheated.html

the hyjacker left the building...like elvis.

all PCs overheat, when the air flow ends.
    just like your car, does.
if you put cardboard over from of the radiator and drive, the engine cooling boils over.
on PC it just halts, (intel inside magic)
    the cure is cleaning, it.
and not putting any laptop on top a blanket.
    or it will overheat.

best is start your own post please
1: PC model and OS you run, tell.
2: tell what the PC does good bad and ugly
yes all 3 matter, computers are complex ok.
    not like toaster at all.
if it only overheats say so.
as all ways it does is covered here and the cure.http://www.pcdied.com/overheated.html

in engineering overheating is said to be
    a First order failure.
it is. (means fix that first)
run free app Hwinfo32.exe, portable from makers web site only.

Look closely at your statement. Works fine until the laptop overheats is an overheating problem, not a wifi problem. Make sure the air vents are clear from any dust or debris. Most laptops have a passive cooling system, so any blockabve of those vents can cause it to overheat. Also, when it overheats is it on your lap or on a hard surface? ironically, the worst thing you can do with a laptop is to use it whie it is on your lap. Your legs actually block the vents giving it no way to keep itself cool. The other thing to look at is the fan inside. Is it running constantly, intermittantly or not at all ever? The fan will only run if the CPU starts to get to a preprogrammed temperature. If it's running constantly, then it definitely needs to be looked at. likewise if it bnever comes on at all.

How to Disassemble an HP Pavilion DV6000

The HP Pavilion DV6000 is one in a popular line of consumer-oriented laptops produced by HP. Relatively inexpensive, the Pavilion DV6000 is a good all-around value for most users. Taking apart an HP Pavilion DV6000 is not an easy chore and if you plan to use the laptop again, it is important you know what you are doing or you have a large appetite for risk. If the above doesn’t describe you, consider taking the HP in for professional repair or upgrade. Otherwise, follow the steps below to disassemble the HP Pavilion DV6000.
18385245_1.jpg?w=200 1、Prepare a clear workstation. Turn off the laptop and remove all power components including the cord and the battery. (Turn the laptop over and you will find the tab to push and pop out the dv6000 battery.) Also remove any peripheral attachments like card readers and USB devices.
90-04208-003_original-hp-pavilion-dv8000z.jpg?w=250 2、Turn the HP Pavilion dv6000 upside down and unscrew all the screws you find. Try to keep them separate by size so you can put them back in the same spot when and if you decide to reassemble the laptop.
3、Remove the hard drive and memory modules by pulling up on the rectangular compartments. The memory is located in the central compartment (remove by spreading latches and pulling up), and in most HP models the hard drive is located to one side.
4、Remove the optical CD/DVD drive by pulling on the drive face to the left and out of the laptop. Remove the WiFi card by disconnecting the gold connectors on the antenna and pulling the card from its slot.
5、Turn the hp dv6000 back over and remove the keyboard and power panel/media touch pad. Carefully pry the power panel up with a piece of hard plastic near the power button on the left side. Be careful when pulling not to yank the power connection as you might accidentally rip out a wire. Pull back the keyboard to reveal the connections. Disconnect the connections by carefully pulling on the tabs with your thumb and forefinger. If they are tight, wiggle them back and forth while pulling on them to loosen them.
6、Remove the screws that were underneath the power pack/media touch pad. Carefully pry up the top casing and set it aside.
7、Detach all visible connections to the motherboard by pulling gently on them, wiggling them if they are stuck. Gently pull up from the right side of the motherboard and remove. The HP laptop is now fully disassembled.

Hp pavilion dv6000 battery not chargering

First try to reset the battery to see if it helps any by doing the following: Turn off all power saver settings on your laptop, disconnect the laptop for the ac adapter. Then use your laptop and run the battery down ignoring any low battery messages until it dies. Then let it fully charge for a night without turning it on, and see if it has saved any charge. If it still hasn't saved any charge, it seems like the only option is that its a dead battery and needs to be replaced. Best of luck!

Help with internol wireless adopter for hp pavilion dv6000

I guess it could be just a coincidence with the service pack update, I would suspect a hardware failure.
If you got a bad driver or no driver at all - the blue light should still work, because it has nothing to do with the driver, it is controlled by hardware and simply shows if your WiFi card receives the power.
Check the wireless card status in the Windows device manager.
If you see no WiFi card there any more - yes, it has no power and it's a harware failure!
This is known problem with HP DV6000/DV9000, decribed here
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01087277
Check your model, call them, send it for free repair - worked like charm for me.

It is also extensively discussed in the following threed on this site:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t535891-hp_dv9000_wireless_card_not_working
Though there are many ways how to fix it yourself all of them are bull... hm,
let's say not working :) The only real way is to get it done by HP - I don't know if they replace the whole motherboard or just several SMD components which are getting burned out...
