Hi, the Hopper does have the ability to do Home Media which allows you to watch videos, listen to music, and view photos by sharing them to your TV. You can use this feature with a tablet or Smartphone which is connected to the same home network as the Hopper. Press the menu on your DISH remote and scroll to "Home Media", and introduction will load, select close and then on the next page will list an compatible devices currently connected to your home network. Select on the one you wish to connect with and you will then have access. If you are still having issues and need additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!

Am connecting a SANSUI TV to a Dish Hopper. No problem with HDM1, but where to land the HDM2 cable at the Hopper?

I have never heard of a dish hopper before, but this tells you how to set them up. A Sansui is probably not the best choice as they are cheap and nasty televisions.

Why is my hopper saying starting up? It's been over 3 hours and saying same thing

If your Hopper is stuck on "Starting up" and it has been more than three hours, it's possible that there is an issue with the receiver that needs to be resolved. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the cables: Make sure that all cables connected to the Hopper are secure and properly connected. If any cables are loose, disconnect them and reconnect them to ensure a secure connection.
  2. Power cycle the Hopper: Try unplugging the Hopper from the power source and waiting for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in. This will perform a power cycle, which may help to resolve the issue.
  3. Check the signal strength: If the Hopper is having trouble connecting to the satellite, it may be because of a weak signal. Check the signal strength by going to the "Settings" menu and selecting "Signal Strength." If the signal strength is weak, adjust the satellite dish to improve the signal.
  4. Contact technical support: If none of these steps work, you may need to contact your service provider's technical support team for further assistance. They may need to perform some diagnostic tests or send a technician to check the Hopper.
Regarding the code you saw this morning, it's possible that the hard drive on the Hopper is full and can no longer record or pause live TV. If this is the case, you will need to delete some recordings to free up space on the hard drive. You can also try connecting an external hard drive to the Hopper to expand its storage capacity.

Picture but no sound when connected to dish network hopper dvr

Lauren Barnett,

How do you have the Hopper hooked up? What TV-to-receiver cable connection are you using? If it's a component cable with three red, white, and yellow prongs at each end, make sure you have it correctly hooked up to the proper ports on the back of both the TV and receiver. You could also try, if you've already verified that, unlpugging the receiver's power cord from its outlet for at least ten seconds and then plugging it back in. I hope this helps!

I have a htc hero and i try to watch vidios or movies on line and half the time it tells me to upgrade my flash player. How do i do that? What can i do to watch video trouble free?

Unfortunately you will need to upgrade your flash player, there's no way around it if u want to watch videos online. However you could try downloading the opera mini browser, its free and it generally incorporates the latest version of the flash player. It should allow you to watch virtually any video. Hope it helps

Cant slide the card hopper in the back of my magicard rio 2

Hi There,

Just go to the following web site;

http://www.magicardonline.net

Enter your printer's serial number in the QuickSearch box.

At the bottom of the search results you fill find a useful video tutorial called 'Loading cards'.

The trick is the hopper has to be offered up to the rear of the printer at a 45 degree angle, then as bottom of the hopper engages, tilt if forward and it will drop down into position.

Like you say, I am assuming that you have the correct hopper, but you will see the correct hopper on the video!

I hope this helps.

Regards,

MC
