2005 DODGE CARAVAN STALLS OUT AFTER YOU FILL IT UP WITH GAS

When filling the tank, stop filling when the pump clicks off. It sounds like you are overfilling the tank getting gas onto the built in evaporator.

Just stop filing when pump clicks off.

Do i need to relearn the tps on a 1999 vw jetta

Unhook battery, press brakes to de-power everything. Leave unhooked for half hour or more.

Re-connect the battery. Turn key to on position. Do not start the car... just to on. Don't touch the gas pedal at all. Leave for ~10-20min.

Turn key straight to start and start the car. Do not touch the gas pedal. Let idle for ~10min without touching anything.

Turn off car. Restart, drive. It might take a few heat cycles and a bit of driving before the ECU 'learns' everything over again.

2000 DODGE CARAVAN SE HARD TO START JUST SPINS AND FINALLY STARTS IF YOU PUSH ON GAS PEDAL STARTS FASTER

bring this to a service repair center an have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to it..it sounds like the check valve in the fuel system is allowing the gas to drain back into the fuel tank, when u press the gas pedal it commands the fuel pump to pump extra gas into the system filling the fuel rails back up with fuel allowing it to start faster....

My 2006 g6 sometimes will crank but not start. does it when cold and warm. sometimes you can try again and it will start other times it takes a few tries

tons of reasons.... depends on your troubleshooting feedback fouled plugs (change em) crappy gas (put a pint of gas cleaner in the tank at next fillup before you fill it) low fuel pressure (breach in fuel delivery?)
I assume you are not pumping the gas pedal at all, but if you are, do not do that. Leave your foot off ! If you do pump it, it will most easily flood it with gas and prevent ignition until the gas is cleared (you can clear a flooded system by pressing and keeping the gas pedal to the floor (once) and try to crank. Release the pedal immediately upon successful ignition revolutions.

My van ran out of gas! I got it started and made it to a gas station I put $5 in the tank enough to get us home! The next morning it would not start! so my neighbor went and got $10 of gas for me but it...

It would be good to know the make, year and model of the van to do a diagnosis. I'll take a stab in the dark, High reving could be caused by a faulty idle air control motor, common on a Ford. Is the Service Engine Soon light on? A malfuntioning Throttle position sensor will cause a high idle. I wish I had more info so I could be of help, Good luck, Gary

My santa fe has problems starting back up after

if you pumped more gas after the handle shut off then you caused an issue by over filling. this happens to alot of cars when you try to get every once in the tank.

Will not start with out holding gas pedal down while starting

you have "NO TOUCH" starting, so you should not touch the gas pedal during starting.

If you hold hte gas pedal to the floor during cranking, it shuts off the fuel supply so you can clear a flooded engine.

When I don't start it for a day, it becomes really hard to start. It tries to start but it never turns over, I have to hit the gas pedal repeatedly. It may back fire a few times but it will eventually...

Try pumping the gas pedal 3 to 4 times before starting your car. If that does'nt work, check your automatic chock, it might not be opening up.

Car won't start!!

AmyLynn001, 1st thing, let the car sit for a couple hours (because u smell gas, it's definitely flooded). Turn the key to start (do NOT touch the gas pedal!! Cars are designed now to start w/out touching the gas pedal. If u do, u will flood it, and make it even more difficult to start) When u turn the key, only hold it to turn the engine over for no more than 10 seconds. If after the 10 seconds it doesn't start, turn key off, wait about 10 seconds, repeat. (this is to reduce wear and tear on the starter, and to not run the battery down real quick). It sounds like several problems coming together caused this. U state that the car needs a tune up, it's likely the overheating, need of a tune up (car not performing to optimum efficiency) and pushing on the gas pedal, resulting in flooding, all came together to create this no start condition. Eliminate any one (preferably all!) and u should be able to start the car. So, hopefully just letting it sit and not touching the gas pedal while attempting to start will be enough to get u back on the road, then get that tune up soon. Let me know how u make out.
