I have a PHILLIPS scrren HDTV MODEL #51PP9100D/37 and it hs green and red outline on picture. Can you tell me what could be wrong? Can this be fixed? Didn't know if it is something I can do myself or call tv repair man.,

Its a convergence problem. The three color guns have drifted and it shows on the edges. Typical of an old projector tv

This is a common problem with the Philips Tv sets. Get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com.

Unplug for one hour then plug back in---worked for me--computer resets

TV picture goese black and white

Check your cables on the back of the TV and cable box. You either have it connected wrong, or they are loose. If you are using red green and blue, make sure that you are tightly in the red green and blue connectors. If you are using yellow white and red, then make sure you don't have the yellow in the green spot.

I have an 51pp9100d/37 Phillips Tv, and i the red and green colors on the picture are skewed to a weird, almost sideways, S shape. I was wondering if this is an easy fix and cheap, i don't really know...

From what you have said it seems that you need to replace the Convergence ICs, they are Big Black ICs and will have Part number on them ,example STK392-110
Mats Electronics has Parts $9.95 each IC. 1-800-628-1118
PTS rebuilts boards 1-800-844-7871

I Specifically have a 2005 Phillips 50" Projection

on your remote go to menu,then push picture then scroll down to converge then depending on what color is out of line you will push that,then what ever is out of line you line it up by the up arrow.if that don;t work then there are parts on your board gone bad.

Phillips hdtv model 30pw9110d/37 won't turn on

Common short the cover cap over the video & sound boards short out if you remove it the cap only (shield metal) it usually will fix this

PIP does not work

The PIP can only use one tuner at a time, if one is on CATV, the other has to be on an AV input. you would need a catv box for the AV input for this to properly function.

Tv turning on and off itself

Try "hiding" the remote from the set so that the TV cannot "see" it. Hope this little trick helps...accordianman
