SOURCE: camera won't turn on

Plug it into the charger, then remove the battery. Disconnect is and then insert the battery/ That may reset it.

This also sometimes happens when a camera is dropped and the lens assembly is tweaked just a bit. Point it to your face and turn it on. Press on different places on the lens assembly while you toggle it off and on. If it comes out, your lens unit is out of line. You can try moving it side to side and even forcing it a little but it will probably never be just right.

SOURCE: Lens stuck after dropping camera

Probably it can be fixed, but if the lens gears are too damaged the repair could be much expensive and you would prefer to buy a new one.
Take your camera to a qualified technician to check the price of a repair.

SOURCE: samsung pl50 lense jammed?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the battery is fully charged.
If you are able to access the Menu, please select Initialize under Settings and Main Settings 1 Menu and press OK. If still the issue persists, perform the power reset by removing the Battery and pressing the power button continuously for one minute. Then, leave the power button and reinsert the Battery.

To reset the Digital Camera by using a RESET button follow these steps---

  1. Locate the RESET button on the camera.
  2. Use a pointed object (like a ballpoint pen) to press and hold the RESET button for 2-3 seconds.
  3. After 2-3 seconds has elapsed, release the RESET button.

To perform a manual power reset follows these steps---

  1. Turn off the camera.
  2. Remove the battery pack.
  3. Remove the button-sized lithium battery.
  4. Allow the camera to remain without power for 30 seconds.
  5. Reinsert the button-sized lithium battery.
  6. Reinsert the battery pack.
  7. Turn on the camera.

If still the issue persists then it means that the cabinet is opened or LCD cable is touched which is caused by connection defect or poor contact between connector and LCD cable due to the pressure by the rib in the front cabinet to the connector. If still its not resolved then as its a new one so you should use its warranty and get it replaced just to avoid future issues.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

How do I upload pictures from my camera to my computer? Every time I try it says USB error on the camera screen.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

Remove date/stamp from pictures already taken

Once the stamp is on the picture it's just like any other element of the picture. You can try to remove it using a photo editing program, the same way you might remove a telephone pole growing out of someone's head, for example. There is no magic feature that will automatically recognize the pixels making up the stamp and recover what was there originally when the picture was taken.

Samsung S850 USB Control mode

My Samsung S85 is plug and play. There was not special software.
I am running a 2006 iMac with that has Preview, and later after OS upgrade iPhoto already on it. One came up when the camera was connected.
To connect - turn camera power off. Connect cable. Turn on camera. Camera displays a selection of what to connect to. A drive Icon shows up on my computer screen.

Samsung s850 cant copy from camera to sd card?

The Samsung S850 has an internal feature to do this. I have one. Put in your memory card and turn on the camera, push the button on the bottom right hand side of the lcd screen to view the picture, next when you see a picture (it can be any picture) push the OK button, this brings up a set of commands across the top of the screen, as you go across the commands one of them will be "copy to card". Select yes and the camera will copy the pictures to the card.
