Won't start how ? When you turn the key to the start position does the engine turn over ? A engine cranks but doesn't start an run Or a engine does not crank - no crank - no start ! Two different problems with different diagnostic paths .
i would have to say ck. the easast things first, when was the last cooling system flush making sure all cooling system parts are clean and new coolant added(old coolant looses its abilaty to work properly when old)then have the thermostat ck to make sure it opens and closes at the proper temp.
You most likely have something drawing voltage from the battery. It is too hard to say where the problem could be. You need to take it to someone to do an electrical draw test.
I had the same problem for about five months, sometimes the car started for two months than all of a sudden it make take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to get it to turn over. Final analysis (when it finally would not start for two days) a new starter was needed. (2001 Cadillac STS)
Here is the most common cause of this stall, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake
well this sounds like your head gasket has gone if i were you id hope it is this and not that you have got a cracked head as this will be a lot more expensive than replacing your gasket.
