Computer vga cable/ sansui tv problem

Hello
Nvedia signals cannot be porcessed by Sansui Tv. You have tow options before you to connect your self assembled computer to this tV. The first one is try by reducing the resolution f VGA output. for that, go to Nvidea control [normally will be displayed at the right end of the taskbar] and chage relolution there. By default, the resolution will be 1024/768. Select it to the lowest; 800/600. If the TV display it, just advance it to the next highest; 960/600.
If this does not help you, there is no other way than change the computer's video card to any other, which works on Windows Video Drive. Can be bought from local computer component market, insert it to one amoung the free PCI socket of the computer and do the next proceedings to change over video output from on board video out, and feed this video signal to yur TV. OK.

My problem is that when I try to connect my Toshiba satellite to my Philips TV using a VGA cable, I can only run it in save mode, which ruins the point. When I try to boot in normally, all I get is a...

Make sure your VGA cable works by using it on another computer or desktop just to rule out the possibility of a defective VGA cable. If the cable is good, then boot your computer as normal without the VGA cord and then once it is booted up, plug the VGA cable in, go to the start menu and type "multiple" into the search box. then click on "Set up your computer to use multiple monitors" and you should be able to fix it using those settings.
Hope this helps, Nathan Taylor

My compaq presario cq60 is starting wee but not showing display.....

Try plugging into an external display to make sure your laptop is fine in the first place. An external display (VGA, HDMI, DVI) should show right from the boot. It may flicker on and off from normal screen to black but should stay stable once it is booted up all the way.

If it does work you should just be able to let it boot up and then (after COMPLETELY loading) simply remove the external device and your screen should work within seconds. Should this not be the case i would be happy to assist you in narrowing down the problem and trying to find a solution. =)

Should this fail to work you may want to resort immediately to taking your laptop to a repair service or a cheap local PC specialist (as it would be very difficult to repair drivers and such if you cannot see anything in the first place, and even your local PC guru is likely to have hardware unavailable to you.)

The system boots normally but does not display on the monitor, what is the way forward

If it boots normally and there is no display on the monitor,it could be

1.Your Display card could have failed or the VGA cable from the display adapter is not connected properly to your monitor- In this case you will see a "no signal" message on your monitor.

2.If the monitor is powered on nothing appears, then your monitor most likely failed.

3.If the monitor's power on led light is not lit, then make sure your monitor is plugged in properly to the power source.

I have this monitor hooked to my PC ATI 7500 graphics card with a DVI cable. When the PC initially boots up, the monitor display is blank - it does not display the boot-up messages until the MS Windows...

This is normal. Your monitor has a VGA hook in for regular definition. What it is doing, the monitor always by default looks for the VGA hook first. On my desktop it does the same thing until it finds a signal on the DVI.

Unsupported Signal. Adjust your PC output

Boot into safe mode or VGA mode and reduce the resolution to 800 by 600 and set the refresh rate to 60. After this, reboot normally and check the box to have your video to display only the settings that work for your system, and choose the desired resolution, and refresh should be 70-85 to reduce flicker. Appears as tho your video card is set too hot for the monitor.
MORE: In safe mode or vga mode you may not be able to adjust the settings. Fine. After a reboot, you may be able to start normally and the vga settings might still be there (640x480). Then you can adjust them.

Emachine windows xp welcome menu comes up and then black screen and we have sound but no picture changed monitors still does the same thing.never been used for internet

puddycat_196,

Did you just performed a clean installation to your system? Or maybe you just replace a new video card? The blank screen normally caused because of the resolution setting which is too high for the screen to support, or maybe the frequency setting, or you have incompatible video driver.

You can determine this problem by boot into your windows in VGA mode. What you have to do in order to boot into the VGA mode will be, press "F8" on your keyboard will you switch on your computer, you might need to press a few times, until you see the Boot Menu.
Choose "Boot with VGA Mode". More information about Advance Boot Menu will be available here

http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1643&page=2

Once you successfully boot into windows in VGA mode, you can now adjust your display properties. Try to adjust from the lower range, like 800 x 600, and the frequency with the recommended one matched your Display Unit.

Good luck trying.
