How do I take off the top of my range to install new timer?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are trying to replace the timer on your Frigidaire range, model# FGF326ASJ, and want to know how to take the top off your range. Typically, this is not a do it yourself repair and there are no step by step instructions on how to take the top off. I suggest contacting the manufacturer to see if they might be able to assist. The other option would be to call your local authorized technician. The technicians are trained on your specific range and will be able to take the top off and install the new timer. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
WP

Oven stops working and display screen goes blank

Hello The control has developed faults in one or more of it's circuits. This clock/timer must be replaced to solve the problem. The Good news is that this is not one of the really expensive controls. Found this one for about 70$ at a website. Worth fixing- but beware the 'self-clean' function after repair, and this control should last a lot longer.  Please acknowledge this post if info helps- have more if needed- Thanks- Ed

Oven door locked

ah, you lucky guy. You can try a hard reset by unplugging the range for a good 1/2 hour, then plug back in. Unfortunutely this probably won't work, as these clock/timers are notorious for only lasting a few years. You have to blow $150+ and replace the clock/timer. Note: A hair dryer will help you get the face off the old one to put onto the new one.

My frigidaire ES400 gas range is giving off a sooty smell and high levels of CO that fluctuate from 23ppm - 118ppm (FD CO METER). what is the possible cause and how can it be repaired?

Air intake needs adjustment. Remove bottom drawer, there is a gas valve and the burner attached to it. Loosen small screw on the burner and turn the air baffle to let more/less air in. If not sure what you're doing - call a repairman.
Also make sure not to cover any vents on the oven bottom with foil, as some usually do.
It also can be that the burner holes need cleaning
