Wrist blood pressure monitors must be used with the arm above heart level. You can do the pledge of allegiance while doing a reading to make sure this is done. Usually this error occurs when inflation takes too long or the placement of cuff is wrong.

Homedics makes several units that are virtually identical to the Walgreen counterparts. Why not try the Homedics web site? It has a support section. Be sure to list your model number as there are several wrist cuff models. If the web site doesn't help, either call Homedics or try a web search by listing your model number followed by 'manual'. I would have tried to find the manual for you but I don't know the model number. Good luck.

Wherever you attach it - there must be a pulsating artery; Some people have atypic artery locations, old embolism with collateralisation (arterys everywhere except the place you think they are). Try another arm/leg/finger. Try it on your husband/nice/neighbour. Look if the marterial has a defect - then the error occurs in anybody, or if it measures accurately in the postman and not in you _ then you must look for a,other place to measure. If you have cardiacabnsolute arrhythmia or a lot of backfires (extra systoles): forget electronic measuring devices. Buy an old one with a stethoscope

Since that BP Monitor has a 5 year warranty. Your best bet is to contact HoMedics (the manufacturer) Customer Support @ 800-456-3342. That's assuming you replaced the old batteries with new one's out of a in date package and all are placed properly.
