Hi My parents have got a Kingston Data Traveller USB, but the silly sod has used up his attempts of the password, and now it wants to format, is there a way to reset so he can enter his now remembered password into it. He was given it years ago from a friend, so it was not registered to him. any help much appreciated cheers.
Not knowing the model # makes it difficult to give you a difinitive answer. Kingston's support docs all say that after x mny failed logins the device will have to be formatted.
The default # of failed logins seem to be 10.
