Timer ticks but dryer does not run. Motor runs when jumped with 120v, door switch works, start button works, thermal fuse reads zero ohms
Sounds like the wire going to the motor from the timer is open somewhere or the contacts in the timer is not making a connection. If you have a schematic you could see which wire feeds the motor and see if it has voltage coming out of the timer.
If it has voltage could be a wire or the start switch I see you said start sw works though. Hope this helps if I think of anything else I'll let you know.

That is the thermal fuse. It must read closed for the dryer to work. You can connect the two wires together to check the rest of the system, but don't run it with them crossed for normal drying. Many times this is an indication that the high limit switch is sticking or the duct is clogged with lint causing a high temp situation.
Post back if you have any questions.

The element should not be zero... it should have some resistance...if not it is shorted out and will not heat...
There could be a number of different problems...
Check out this tip that I wrote about this problem...

Get the schematic and look at the timer. there are two wires that you can jump across and verify that the timer is bad by bypassing it all together. If all your checks tested good then the timer is bad. If you have any doubt order the part from repairclinic.com because you get a full refund even if you put it in and it does not work
