Lack of pollination or brown rot could be the cause. They are generally not self-fruitful meaning
they need a different plum and often a specific variety for pollination
and fruit development. If the plums were not full size and lacked a seed (stone) this was the problem. If not try a general fungicide.
no higher than the manufacture drain hose can reach ...no donot plum directly to pipe !!! yes if must into a utility making sure pump hose goosneck and end of drain hose never gets submerged under water cause water to siphon back into washer....
The problem could be 1) The inlet solinoid in line with the main water inlet faulty this acts as an electrical tap controling the inlet water. 2) The triggering of the anti flood system (polysireene float and micro switch at the base of washer) due to water leak / spill (this device causes the washer to stop until the leak is cleared.3) Water pressure to low.
that sounds like something else, I had a similar problem yesterday, the washer would stop after a few mins, I traced the fault to the water hoses, it was plummed in with a hot water feed that can get dirty over time. this had blocked the inline fiter stopping water getting into the machine, if it does not fill within three minutes it can cancel, I cleaned the filter and was out in 10 minutes.
If the solenoid valve is humming and calling for water, you probably have a plugged screen in the valve, some you can get to and clean, some you have to replace.
