Charging pins bent and broken cant charge phone

Your new battery might has some issues. Put your old battery back on and try your charging cord and base. If it starts charging your old battery; it means new battery has a problem. If old battery doesn't charge too; i suggest you to try a working charger. If it still doesn't response; most probably during replacement process; you damaged pins of your phone's charging port connector.


If broken pin is at above red circuled area; you are lucky because it has price around $5. But if broken pin is at motherboard side, it may cost you around $50 or more due to motherboard repair.

please check the battery .remove the battery and check the terminals
then check the phone"s pins are bent or broken.
if you have source please try to insert fully charged battery and try to turn on.
or your own battery ,plug the charger and leave around 10 mins to pop up the battery and start charging.

make sure your charger is good before.

The charging pins inside the phone may be bent or broken, or something maybe stuck inside. This may be the case with the charger itself also. Try a new charger to see whether is the phone or the charger. Another option is NEW PHONE!

Mostly nokia chargers doesn't make problems...
just try the following..
1.connect ur mobile with a system (usb cable)...if it charges then replace your charger fault is in their,
2.if problum not solved then,power off mobile,romove the back flip and remove the bettry,check the phone,s connecting metel terminals,
if they r slightly bent,bend them slightly upward whith the help of a pin,check metal terminals of the battry if they r ok then good othervise replace bettry with new one.
3.check the bettry in another cell phone if it charges theno problum is in ur cell phone or power jack(socket)...
IF Charging Problem not Solved So then contect a qualified repair.

There are several reasons, like bad battery, bad charging connector, bad charger, charging pin problem, charging ic, etc..
You need to try with another charger and with another battery. If changing the charger and battery don't help, follow the instructions below;
First, remove the battery, clean the contact points on the battery and also clean the battery interfaces on the mobile. You also need to check the charging connector and clean whatever is possible. Use soft brush or cotton with Ipa solution or alcohol/spirit/acetone to clean all the metal contacts. Try charging again.

If the above method don't help, you need to change the charging pin;


Still the problem persists, then check the charging ic. Perhaps jumpering will be necessary.
If you are not sure what you gonna do with ic, I don't recommend to play around with it, rather take it to a mobile repairing shop or nokia service center and get it fixed. You may damage another components.

If one of the metal is bent up and your phone is not charging then you would need to replace the charging port of your phone.Before replacing the charging port you could use a desktop charger for the main time while you get your charging port replaced.
