I have a 32 Akai HD TV I found the following problem when I returned from vacation The red light is showing. I press the power button, the green light comes on for a short while and then goes back to red. To make the TV work, I have to unplug the power, plug the TV back in and then press the power button. Then it turns green and the TV comes on. What has happened?

Multiple attempts to Turn on the TV

It's common for capacitors on the power supply board to go bad (tops will swell up) and cause the same problem. these new LCD tv's are all very bad when it comes to power surges.
