Wd mycloud full reset - Western Digital 500GB My Book World Edition 500 GB Hard Drive

I had a similar problem with a "MyCloud". WD replaced it on warranty. The drive had failed. No data recovery.

You must use the factory remote. Mutlibrand will not work for this option. No matter the universal remote, you need the original. No other way to do this.

1. Press MENU on original remote only
2. Then press 2,4,7, and 0
3. Select "initialize" and then 'ENTer"

This will full restore to factory original settings. but you need the original Mitsubishi remote.

Not sure but on my Android tablet once I use the picture player there is usually a upload or backup option to send a picture to a device or online account. Personally I use WD MyCloud to transfer pictures but that because I have one of their DLNA servers. You can also just "send" it to via your email to another email account and and then access it on the PC by logging into that account from a browser and then downloading it. I have had to do so on some android devices.

The USB port of the My Cloud is designed to be used as an extension port. You may use it to attach another external to the My Cloud or device like a camera. If you prefer cable connection between your PC and your My Cloud, I would recommend you to use an Ethernet cable.

This cable you have is only for transferring data from one computer to another. To transfer data to this drive you must do so over the network or by loading your content onto a USB drive then connecting the USB drive up to the USB port on the WD MyCloud and using the MyCloud app to copy the data from the USB drive to the internal storage of the MyCloud drive. The Blue light remains on if every things OK. Did you install WD Discovery? Then Map network drives. Then try installing/setting up again.

hit F1 when you bootup dont let windows come on . Go in you Biso to set you new hard drive.dont forget to F10 to save changes...Good Luck
