Thanks for feedback. It is a direct drive turntable. Perhaps one or more capacitors has failed in the control cct.?

You don't say if it's a belt or direct drive turntable. If it's a belt then something might have caused the belt to slip off it's normal position so it runs fast.
Direct drives are more complicated, but it would seem that the voltage control circuit that feeds the motor is applying to much to it and the therefore is faulty.

What model styli do I need,to play 45, 331/3 and 78rpm records on my Tevion model P50708 turntable?

stylus should be same for all. It's the speed settings that make the difference. If you player does not have dial with 33/45/78, then you wont be able to play them.

Poor sound from my Wurlitzer 1015 78rpm , most records sound very cracklely has a new amp .

New stylus needed, make sure you have a proper lint grabber and that you are instructed properly, when i was using 78rpm a crackely sound was associated with a very much used stylus, Replace

I need a service manual for the BSR McDonald CA 50 turntable

BSR tended to make old style turntables, ones with a 78rpm speed on. I don't the model in question, but if it is a one of these, there's not much to them. Basically a rubber tyre runs inside the rim of the platter, while the tyre is pushed on a mains powered motor, in at least 3 different positions (depending on the speed). The tyre moves up and down depending which speed is selected.
Speed faults are caused by either a bad motor, or muck, oil, or grease in it.
A faulty tyre that is worn and doesn't push on the motor or platter anymore or not hard enough. Plus of course tyre height setting wrong.

I have a Zenith Allegro Console with a turn table and it spins to fast. Are there any adjustments I can make?

It depends what kind of drive this model has. It's possible that since this is a model that has the 78rpm speed it could use the old type of drive. If so then what happens is that a mains powered motor has a three position pole on it. A rubber tyre presses on each section on the pole. The speed switch manually moves it up or down. The tyre presses on the motor and on the rim of the platter. A worn tyre or one that is not moving to the right section on the motor will cause incorrect speed.
The only other form of drive would be a belt, but not many belt drive turntables were built with the 78 speed of this date.

What is required to convert 78rpm records to mp3 format?

The cartridge must have a stylus for 78rpm records. If the turntable does not have a 78 speed play it back at 45rpm. Record it and using the software you have or get one such as Audio Cleaning Lab, just select the option to convert from 45 to 78. You can then carry out any audio modifications to clean it up, then save it as an MP3.
Never use a 45/33 stylus to play a 78 and never use a 78 to play a 45/33 record.

Separate needle for 78 speed or not?

Yes! The grooves are different on 78rpm records. By the way they are called "stylus" when you go on the hunt for one.
