The messages that are left on my machine are very soft and unable to hear. How do I increase the volume to hear the messages

There is a volume button on the phone to increase(up arrow) and to decrease(down arrow). Keep pressing the up arrow to increase the volume till you can hear clearly either with speaker or without speaker.

In the sound program there should be a sound looks like a speaker with a slide bar, increase to proper place. Also on the desktop lower right should be a icon that looks like a speaker, click on it and the whold sound control opens, again there should be a master volume....

If you are using the handset, press Menu and scroll down to the line Answer Machine with the up/down arrows. Then press the left soft key twice (Select answering machine and then play new messages). The left soft key is above the Talk button. Press End to stop the play back of messages. When there are no new messages, the above will play all messages.

If you want to access the messages from another phone, you first need to change the Master PIN from the one it shipped with and set up remote access. You do this from the handset.
To change the Master PIN, press Menu, scroll to Advanced Set and press the left soft key. Then scroll to change PIN and press the left soft key. Enter the original PIN (or the current PIN) and press the left soft key. Then enter the new PIN followed by pressing the left soft key twice. You will hear a tone and see New PIN Stored on the screen. If you do not enter the correct PIN above, the screen will return to the previous menu. The PIN from the manufacturer is 0000.

For remote access, press Menu, go to Answer Machine and press the left soft key. Then scroll to Ans. Settings and press the left soft key. Scroll to Remote access and press the left soft key. Use the up and down arrows to select Activated then press the left soft key again.

Once these are set, call your phone number and when the machine picks up press #. Within 8 seconds, enter the PIN. An error tone will play if you do not enter the correct code; try again. The unit will hang up if the PIN isn't entered in 8 seconds. All new messages will play. Press 1 to replay a message (or go to the previous message), 2 to play all messages, 3 to advance to the next message, 4 to delete a message.

To increase the volume of earpiece, when on call press right navigation/scroll key to increase the volume and press left navigation/scroll key to reduce the volume.

Answer the call then scroll to the right to increase the volume of the earpiece. Scroll to the left to decrease the volume. You will see the volume bar increases or decreases as you adjust it. The scroll keys are also called the navigation keys. They are the ones used when you navigate the menu up, down, left, or right.

There are 2 types of volume in your nokia phone that you can increase or decrease.

The first one is the ring tone volume. You can either increase or decrease your ring tone volume by pressing the menu key then go to settings, go to profile, select any desired profile go to personalise go to ringing volume, then increase or decrease by using the navigation button to the right or left.

The second way is to increase or decrease the volume of the speaker of your phone which i think is the cause of your question (this volume enables you to hear clear and loud the person on the other phone). You increase or decrease the volume by making a call, as soon as the call starts ringing, press the navigation key to right to increase the volume or to the left to decrease the volume.

check the left side or right side of ur mobile their u get increase volume key if u want to increase it press upwards or reduce it press down key or else go in sound option of ur mobile nd increase it....

please change ur earpiece speaker and all will be ok

When you are receiving a call use the up/down or left/right rocker (the squarish thingy around the circular button in the middle) to increase/decrease the volume. This also works for the speaker volume if you have the speaker on.

Music on hold comes from an external box attached to the system cabinet. It should have a volume control on that box.
