Which OS Service Pak is XP using? Have you tried to update the drivers? ' System ' Hardware ' Device Mgr
Can you test the burner on a 2nd PC? My older PC's dont see the DVD-RW but the burning software does.
There could be a possibility that the drivers for the bluetooth device needs to be reinstalled now. Goto the following link 1. Download the file bluetooth.sh.zip to Aspire one directly.
2. Double click bluetooth.sh.zip, and uncompress the zip file
via "Xarchiver", there should be a new file named "bluetooth.sh" in the
same folder with bluetooth.sh.
3. Go to bluetooth.sh folder and double click bluetooth.sh.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
re format the system then load the software for it.check www.driverguide.com for drivers.you should also check the dvd software disc it might be scratched.
