Plugged everything in correct places, running install software. Searching for networks stalled at 5%. Tried restarting and same thing happened. Has been stuck at least 20 minutes. Task manager says it is running.
You can install this router manually. You do not need to run installation program.
Simply open the router setup page and change the settings manually.

Check the available memory on your PC. It may be limited and far too small for the operation you are running. Same thing happened to me

just off the firewall or proxy server or anti virus for configuration time and just connect the cable to the LAN port of the router and other end to the PC then try to open the configuration page of the router go to the explorer or Mozilla there you have to type default ip in the addresss bar 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 try both which is the open then go it after that in cd user manual is there just go through it.

If you are on Cable Internet, you need to do MAC Cloning. Open the router's Setup Page through http://192.168.1.1 then look for Mac Address Clone sub-tab under the the SETUP tab. Enable it and click on Clone My PC's MAC then click on Save Settings. You need to power cycle the device now. Unplug the power to the router and the modem. Wait for 30 seconds. Power on the modem first and wait for the lights to go solid, then power on the router. You should be good to go.

For that right click on my computer icon then click on property then hardware-<device manager.
Then you can see all driver list click on network adapter and enable it.
You can configure your router without disk too.
For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on WAN settings and set those settings as your internet service provider settings.
Enable DHCP if you want to get ip from router.
Click on wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.

1.Log into router. Using either 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 in a browser window that is ( internet Explorer or Firefox)
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) ( router status window)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
8. check for firmware update at the manufacturers site for your model router
9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.
