The days of real techies who can make actual repairs is long gone. Nowadays, they simply find out the board that is responsible for the problem and they replace the entire board. And often those boards can be pretty expensive. U have any idea of just how much labor is involved in checking those boards out? And how do you remove and replace a 20 leg IC chip? Vey few discrete components today and too many all encompassing chips!
Often if you know the part number U can get the part on the cheap on ebay, either new , or used.
Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
id take it and have it repaired. people on here can tell you what they think it is but no one knows for sure what is causing the problem. a repair shop can guarantee the repair.
It has to be your signal board thats what the white screen indicates because the other board is a deflection board and if that was bad you would have a black screen. Yes its worth fixing but the board would run about $300.00 to $350.00 if you cant find one let me know and I can post a link where I believe they would have one
From what you describe, a solder joint has probably cracked loose in a power supply or deflection circuit, which is quite common. Since you do sometimes see a good picture, all of your major components are fine. Repairing cracked solder joints is a very easy procedure and definately worth fixing on a 32 inch TV. The first 2 digits of the model number indicate the size of the TV.
When previous pictures display fine but does not take new one directs the problem to camera mode problem. Some component is at fault in the main board which controls menu functions and display is damaged. For the solution, the main board is repaired or replaced by technician. The repair cost may run between $100 to $200 in US.
