Doesn't dry clothes in spin cycle- spins but not enough

Last week it stuck on the final spin so I ran it thru another cycle. Now, my clothes don't dry even if I spin it more than once. I have it on high speed. It does go around but not fast enough? I don't know if it is something I should fix or if it will cost too much. All else works fine, but the spin/drain? Clothes are soaked...

So it is the spin cycle that does not work that is the drum does not turn. Have you tried other levels such as delicate wash and see if spin works. LASTLY, disconnect power and reconnect.

SOURCE: Frigidaire GLTF2940FS...does not do a final spin/clothes wet

If water remains in the drum the unit will not go into the final spin. There may be a couple of reasons for your problem.
1.) A coin or other foreign object is blocking the drain hose. Check the drain hose for foreign objects impeding the exit of the water.
2.) The Drain hose is not raised above the machine outlet to create a siphon effect. See your manual for proper hose positioning.
3.) The pump is a third possibility which you should hear the impeller spinning during the drain cycle. There is a coin catch after the diaphragm of the pump that looks like a rubber boot that should be inspected for objects if you remove the pump. I believe the pump is about $60.00 and is accessible after removing the front panel under the door.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question####

Kenmore front load wet clothes

Before going further it is important to determine if the machine is reaching full spin. Make sure the unit is set to MAX extract and watch the inner tub. The tub should be spin really fast (1000 rpm's or better) during the final spin. If not you have lost one of the phases on the motor.
