Hi. Right from the start my menu screen was unreadable. Camera will not operate, and now the screen won't even come on. The memory card is good, as well as the batteries. Any way to reset?
Hi Everyone. I am pleased to report that the camera is working fine now. And am ashamed to report what the problem was. I bought TWO separate packs of Duracells dated 2024. When the camera didn't work, I replaced the (fresh) batteries with other fresh ones. I assumed they were good because I had just purchased them AND because of the date. But...it turns out that BOTH packs were totally dead. My voltmeter wasn't handy, so I didn't check them. I still find it unbelievable that new Duracells could be bad. I put in store brand alkalines and all worked perfectly. What's that lesson about NEVER assume? I appreciate all your comments and help. What a great group!!Hi Everyone. Turn camera off, remove battery's and sd card. With everything out turn it to the on position for about 2-3. After 2-3 minutes put batterys back in while on the on position. Once he says no card or no memory turn the camera off put sd card back in and test the camera.

Hi,
If it won't let you quit out of the menu screen I'd suggest turning the camera off then on, if that doesn't work take the battery out for a couple of minute and that should do the trick.
There may be an unread email somewhere in your inbox. If you click the menu button when in the mail section there is a "mark all unread messages read (or something similar)." This should clear up your unread message count on your "Today" screen.
(i) Please check if the Battery is fully charged. (ii) Next, turn off the Camera, remove the Battery pack then press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds. (iii) Then, reinsert the Battery pack and turn ON the Camera. (iv) Next, try to access the menu options either by directly pressing the menu buttons or while reviewing the images. (v) If the menu options are accessible while reviewing the captured images then reset the Camera to the original factory settings. Please follow the steps given below to reset the Camera to the original factory settings: (a) Turn ON the Camera. (b) Access the menu screen either by directly pressing the Menu button or pressing the menu button while reviewing the captured images. (c) If menu screen is accessible, then press the right arrow on the Control button to select (Setup) Settings, then press the right arrow again. (d) Next, select the Setup 1 option by using left/right/up/down arrow on the control button. (e) Then, select Initialize and OK. (f) Finally, follow the on-screen instructions to set the clock in the Camera.
Performing the above steps will reset the Camera to the original factory settings. If the issue persists even after performing all the above steps successfully then the issue is related to hardware malfunctioning and service is required.

I finally figured it out!!! There is a button on the right-hand side of the camera, which switches it from normal mode to simple mode. Just press the button and everything goes back to the way it was...
On your monitor at the bottom there is 3 buttons. The one all the way to the left is the "menu" button. The next one (going right) is the "NEGATIVE" button. The next one (going right) is the "POSITIVE" button.
You can move your screen around. First, start by pressing the menu button. Then, a menu in blue, with a bunch of little white icons will appear. Next, go over two icons by pressing the positive button twice. Then, proceed to push in the "menu" button again. A bar will appear. By pressing your negative button, your screen will move left. Pressing your positive button will make your screen move right. Adjust your screen until the black on both sides are of even proportion. Then, press the menu button to return to the orginal menu you started at. Proceed to press your positive button two more times. Then, press your menu button. Then, once again, use your positive button, and your negative button to adjust your screen to even out the black on the top and bottom.
