Convergence Problems My WS-55819 intermittently has horizontal convergence issues. After the television is on for a while, the convergence remains OK in the center of the picture but towards the left and right sides of the screen, the reds, greens, and blues don't line up. In fact, the reds are too high on the left and too low on the right. It will intermittently "snap" back into place and then just as quickly snap out of convergence. Also, as it snaps in and out of convergence, there are numerous horizontal black "noise" lines going across the screen.Any ideas of what to check or replace?

install the convergence repair kit for your model. The 22 error is almost always caused by shorted Convergence ICs and blown picos. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com
Thats caused by a failed convergence IC. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model from www.tvrepairworld.com The kit contains the parts and the CD with instructions for the repair.
Ur tv is 100% have a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
Did you replace the center board with the STK-392-570 chips or the Digital convergence board mounted on it?
98% of the time if you have a convergence problem it is on the center board---the small board on the left under the metal shield box stores and controls the convergence of this set.

CEM-NO, BOTH ICS' WORK ALL 3 CRT YOKES.YOU EITHER NEED TO REALIGN THE RED IN FACTORY CONVERGENCE MODE OR YOU HAVE A RESISTOR THAT HAS FAILED.THE LATTER YOU MAY ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO SEE IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY.OH, ALWAYS DOUBLE CK. YOUR SOLDER CONNCETIONS.GOOD LUCK. JOE TV
On this model if the fuses that protect the convergence circuit would open up, then the set would not come on.
The convergence ICs probably have a cracked solder joint on the foil side of the circuit board.Re-flowing the the solder would help.
I will always replace the convergence ICs when doing this job. The labor remains the same and you will have to pay a few extra bucks for the parts.
