Green power light blinks continuously, I press the power button and the power light eventually turns red and then back to a yellow/green and the set turns on with good picture and sound, but then turns itself off after just a few minutes.

STOP THE PRESS!! I FIXED MY TV for a whopping $26.
I took a wild shot and purchased two STK392-110 convergence amplifiers from http://www.electronix.com/. They ship fast, placed my order on Tuesday evening after coming here and placing my comment. To my suprise the parts were in my mailbox on Friday. The parts were actually $12 but I also picked up a iron and a solder sucker.
So rarewish4us, If you're in the South Florida area I'd be more than happy to take that "JUNK" off your hands. LOL
If I were you, I'd give it a shot before you junk it.
Good luck,
Howie

There is an additional problem,
if the bulb had been replaced by a technician, call them back and ask for additional support, since they did not fix the problem.
