If this is a phone that is not branded by your service provider (example: it's a verizon phone and your trying to use it with att) you first need to make sure that it is compatible w/ att network. The phone needs to be able to take a sim card. Second, you would need to get an unlock code from the provider that the phone originally came from. Once you have that they will inform you how to unlock the phone and you will be able to use it on the other network. Be aware that since the phone is actually made for the other network that it may not work properly. This is because the phone is designed to work on a different network and will have different settings, therefore it is not guranteed that it will work to it's full capabilities, especially the internet.

Yes, take the battery and mem card out, get a big ziplock baggie, put it about half way full with white uncooked rice, put teh phone and battery in there and seal it up and DO NOT TOUCH FOR 5 DAYS!!!!

DO A HARD RESET ON IT
*Turn the Droid off. If it won’t turn off, take the battery out then
place it back in.
*Open the keyboard and press the X key while pressing
and holding Power. The device will power on. Keep
holding the buttons down until a yellow triangle appears.
*Press the Camera and Volume Up buttons
at the same time to get to the menu. (I had to press them several
times).
*Use the direction pad to the right of the keyboard to select the Format
option

try doing the manufacturing reset solution , but thats going to delete all user information and other item including contacts , resets email login user name , both TXT/MMS will be deleted , let me know if you need this solution if your not worried about the user data ok , ([email protected]) good luck
