Is it coming from the carb or tank? Either way replace the fuel lines, they crack an get pin holes in them an cause problems. If it comes from the carb get a rebuild kit an, very cheap, an replace the seals.

I put a mixture of oil gas in my 621 R/621 toro snowblower?

Hi Jerome:
Shouldn't be too bad.
You could disconnect the fuel line at the carb and drain the tank.
Drain and flush the carb. Reconnect the fuel line and fill with fresh gas.
If it won't start, pull the spark plug and clean/dry it with a propane torch, or replace it.
Odds are it will be fine.
Cheers.

My 2002 chev trailblazer bogs down with the gas pedal pressed to the floor and eventually shut off after it sits for approx 2 days in the garage. once i restart it it runs fine. had fuel pump in tank...

Start cheap, remove fuses #10 and #28 under the hood. Remove your throttle body and clean it (both sides) with a sensor safe spray like Seafoam. When clean, put the fuses back and and see how it does.

Yamaha 1978 750 Special Fuel Leaking Problem

These type of fuel shut offs do not have a manual off position. They are automatically operated by engine vaccuum when working properly. They have malfunctioned and allowed fuel to overflow into the airfilter box(the black box) untill repair time use a long piece of hose to connect the large outlet of each shutoff to eachother or plug the end of two short pieces. The carbs have a drain screw on the very bottom of each facing left , right or straight down. you could also drain the carbs however once the fuel supply is cut to them they should not leak any further. Leave the carb fuel hoses from the tank disconnected. You should drain the tank by siphon and the residual gas that is already in the air box can be drained from the hose on the bottom of the box. This is a mess but once you get all this drained it should stop leaking

I have a Husqvarna snowblower, model 9027ST, that is 5 years old. I can not get it to start. It has not been used in awhile. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hello,

When gas engines haven't been started in a while, the gas tends to gunk up. This is due to Ethanol being added to today's gas.

You will need to drain the carb bowl and clean it. Drain the fuel tank and refill the fuel tank with, fresh, Premium gas (no Ethanol additives) and add Sta-bil to the fuel tank - add the recommended amount to the fuel tank. Run a full tank through the system. When refilling the tank again, use SeaFoam additive. This can be obtained from Wal-Mart or your local parts house. Follow the directions on the can and add the recommended amount to your fuel tank. Start the engine and let it run for approximately 5 minutes and then shut it off. Your Snowblower will be easier to start the next time you use it. Always use Sta-bil if your engine is going to sit for any length of time.

Smell gas when driving. when I put it in garage after driving the smell stays for awhile. No leaks on floor of garage.

your car may not be burning off all the fuel or you are leaking. just because you dont see it on the floor doesnt mean that your not leaking. because its hot under there your evaporating faster than you drip. check your lines starting at tank. check under hood where it connects to injection system.
run the engine and smell exhaust for fuel. put your hand at the tip while engine is cold running. if you get fuel go get a tune up. if smell it while driving you have a leak. i would need more info on the car. like has it been running a little less normal?

1991 Jeep Wrangler has been sitting in a garage for 3 years. It starts and shuts right off. I spray ether in it and it starts then shuts back off again. It seems as though I am not getting fuel. What do...

im asuming it was running fine when it was garaged? if so, then the first thing you need to do is to drain the fuel tank and flush the fuel lines. when gas gets old, it simply wont ignite. and over that time, it thickens into almost a syrup. so you need to drain and clean the fuel tank, fuel lines, and replace the fuel filter. im not sure if that year jeep is carbureted or fuel injected, but if it has a carb., then that will definitely need to be cleaned. or for fuel injection, use a good fuel injector cleaner mixed with your new gas. once it starts, it wlil run a bit rough, but once the old fuel gets burned out of the system, it should gradually improve.

Engine keeps flooding out

Recommend completely draining the fuel system. Tank, lines, and carb. Make sure everything is clean and dry. Clean or replace fuel filter. Always try to store it with a full tank of fuel. It is common to get condensation when the weather goes from warm to cold and back.
