Camera immediatly shuts off and lense goes back in.

After turning on, the screen lights up, then the lense goes back in, and the camera turns off immediatly. The camera worked for the first month, then when charging the charge light would not light up. Now the green light comes on, but the camera does not stay on. Is this battery issue?

Sounds to me that ist is more of a charger issue. Try to borrow another charger and see if that works or not.

Try to clean the battery contacts, in the camera and on the battery. Use the eraser end of a pencil.

I have Nikon coolpix L2. Occasionally shut down the lens is interlock and the on-screen message appears "Lens error"!

Hi

Observe the behaviour of the lense once turned on. Like normally it will just push the lens completely out and goes back a little. If this is not done then there is a problem with the gears hence you can turn on the camera and try to pull the lense gently out and when you turn off then press a little this will make the gears seat on the right place.

Lens will not retract on Sanyo VPC-T850, 8.1 megapixel, digital

Did you drop your camera? If yes you either damaged the lense mechanical parts. If some dust or small particle are on the side of the lense, it may prevent the lense from opening up. If the lense opens up and down a little bite try to pull it out by have very softely. If it opened fully, clean up the outside of the lense and turn your camera a few times. If it does not have a mechanical problem, it should be back to normal. If above did not help, the lense has to be taken out and inspect for broken or damaged parts and clean it and put it back on the camera.

Good Luck!!!!

Nikon coolpix s1

TIPS:
1.)NEVER PUSH THE LENS IN AFTER CAMERA DIES, BUY A NEW BATTERY IMMEDIATLY AND TURN IT BACK ON, CLOSING THE LENS!

2.)NEVER USE AN AC ADAPTER, USE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY OR A REGULAR BATTERY!

..to fix this...

Do as i say..

1.) Remove battery
2.) Remove front plate (screw driver may be needed)
3.) Check all gears, make sure they are correctly fitted in place)
4.) Move the gear manually to make the lens come out.
5.) keep it out, put the front plate back together.
6.) reinsert the battery, turn it on.

or...
1.) Remove the battery.
2.) Wait about 6-8 hours.
3.) Reinsert the battery.

or...
1.) Remove the battery.
2.) Try hooking it up through AC adapter, put correct voltage.
3.) Try turning it on.
4.) Remove AC adapter, reinsert battery.
5.) Turn it on.

Hope this may help;

Optical lense stuck in the "out" position

when i dropped my dx7630, a tiny plastic part broke that worked the holdback spring for the battery. Kodak has a repair service, or a referral service for repairs, but you have to send the camera in. i sent it in. they emailed me to say it was not a repairable part and didn't even ask if i wanted it back. luckily, i kept the memory chip. the C875 i bought was $100 cheaper and had 1M more pixels. good luck with your natural light photography from now on. i think Kodak just figures you buy a new camera whenever anything goes wrong, it'll be better and cheaper anyway.
