I need to know the quality of the speakers on the TV. Try unplugging it from the speakers on the TV and plug it into the souround sound speakers only and see if it plays differently. Double check your sourround sound and makes sure you did not reverse a wire.

SOURCE: No sound from stereo

If you can hear a hiss then the spkrs and amp are OK. It sounds like you're not on whichever source you're wanting to hear or it is on mute. Make sure ther is no function enabled that turns the sound off or over-rides it (like a tape monitor or AUX in...).

SOURCE: Low Volume from right speaker of entertainment center - turntable only

Hi There thanks for your very good desctiption of the problem it really helps to have a lot of detail...

There are Mono and stereo types of stylis cartridges and it sounds like you have a mono equipped into a stereo amplifier..

If there are 4 small coloured wires visible under the stylis then
its a stereo stylis and should work, have a close look and maybe one of the small wires has dropped of the small pins on the back opf the stylis cartridge.

If there only two wires visible then its a mono cartridge and this is why you only have sound from one channel..

So answer is wires dropped of the stylis.
or
Wrong type of stylis cartridge.
or
if there are four wires and thay all look connected then perhaps the stylis is faulty and you need to replace it...

SOURCE: surround sound not working

sorry but start with the obvious..the surround speakers usually are a looped curcuit using one single live split .so check each speaker works the cable is ok .if all checks out ok go for the selector switch if its a push switch press it repeatedly .if all this fails tap around the unit there might be a dry joint.good luck .farr64

How do you get the receiver volume and tv volume to stop working together at the same time?

It sounds like your TV is responding to the Denon remote. There may not be any way to stop it. I would just turn off the TV speakers and use the ones connected to the receiver. If you're using the TV speakers to make up for the lack of a center channel speaker on your receiver, it may be time to consider buying a good center channel speaker. The speakers provided in most modern flat panel TV's aren't very robust. The whole idea of having a receiver is to:

1. allow switching between various sources while using only one HDMI cable to connect to the TV.

2. Take advantage of surround sound in the 5.1, 7.1 channel mode receivers provide. When you have a good receiver connected to quality speakers and a good subwoofer you can really experience the music and sounds in a home theater environment.

Denon receiver not working surround output

If everything is connected correct, the only thing I can think of, is you don't put in a surround signal. If you only feed 2 way stereo, only two speaker will work. Also if you switch to stereo, the other channels will stop working. Check the cables, the settings and the input.

Surround sound

there are 2 channel modes on your reciever, as well as surround modes, and it sounds like you have changed modes by accident. just open the little door on the front, and take it out of 2 channel mode

I've had my Denon AVR-2308CI receiver for 3 years and last week I turned it on to watch a movie and there is no sound coming from my rear speakers? I have a 5 speaker set up (3 in front and 2 in the rear)...

On the front display of the unit, you should have indicator icons that light up if a speaker is being used. Are there only 3 speakers lite up, or are there 5? As a quick check, make sure your speaker connections are secure, and then make sure your surround mode is set to a 5 channel surround mode. 5 channel Stereo is a good one to test with. Also, you can hit the "test" button to see if the speakers are connected and working, it will give a test signal out of each speaker independently. Let me know what you find, and I can answer more.

In dolby digital mode i can not get any voice volume. All other sounds are ok

Assuming that you mean Dolby digital 5.1, confirm that you have a center channel properly connected and perform the following;

Using the remote, enter the menu on the receiver and navigate to the selection labeled "LEVEL." Toggle through the selections until you reach the "CENTER CHANNEL". You will be able to use the remote to increase the volume of that channel in .5dB increments.

No surround sound from my Denon 3805

well as long as all signals are routed through the Denon your on the right track, now what else you have to do is connect all devices to the reciever do not loop one device through another. Also you have to try the different surround fields to hear the one you like the best for music I use 5Ch stereo for movies the surround field varies based on the type of movie

B Speakers: Rear A Speakers and Sub stay on

First, check you wiring. Have you tried to turn off all speakers then turn on only the "B" set?

Might also be your "surround" settings. Try a "2" channel mode if available.
