small apartment clothes dryer

This jtoolan again, actually it is not a filter but a condensing unit located below the drying drum.

The maint. man at the condo said clean it with soap and water. I put in the bath tub and cleaned it up. It was loaded with lint.

These dryer seem to take forever to dry clothes because they are not externally vent I guess.

First of all the item I referred to in my question is actually a heat exchanger located below the dryer drum.
The maintenance man in the condo said remove it and clean it with soap and water. I did have a garden hose with a sprayer so I used the bath tube to give it a good cleaning.
It now looks clean and I cleaned the housing where this part is located with vaccuum and wet cleaning.

This is an old conversation now, but we use a small wire vase brush ~10 inches long X ~1/8 inch diameter core with stiff/soft bristles to clean this out. It works better than washing it with water.

Bosh Axxis WFL 2060 operates only on quick wash and warm water!

If you cannot switch cycles then the selector switch board or main circuit board can have faulty componenents and will need to be tested with a multi-tester

Pump clogged

Hi, welcome to fixya.

If your washer is indeed a WFL2060, this is how to reach the filter and clean it.

**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breaker at the home service panel...safety first**

1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of the washer.

2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where a wet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works as well.

3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out. Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or your washer detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.

4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight. Before closing up the small access door, run a short rinse spin cycle to check for leaks.

Let me know how you make out, or if you require further assistance.

Bosch Axxis Front load washer

a little bit of vanilla extract will take care of the smell. as far as getting the smell in the first place there is a problem with the drain system either the pump is not quite up to spec and leaving too much water in it or there is a problem with the line coming from it or the drains in your home. my advice would be to call bosch your washer is still under warranty and they will send someone out to look for it at no charge. this is not something i would be taking apart when the company will do it for you.

Bosh Washing Machine F18 fault

I also had this problem - the machine was full of water and it flashed up F18. I had to drain the water out of the machine using the small pipe located next to the drain filter. There was loads of water to drain out. I used my oven roasting tray which was perfect for the job. Then I undid the screwcap filter. There was a lot of really black water that came out, along with about two pounds worth of coins and some hairgrips. Now my machine works perfectly !

Bosch axxis WTL lint indicator problem.

I have been struggling with this lint filter problem big-time. After reading the previous user's comment that his mesh holes had become clogged, I took a closer look at my filter and noticed that the tiny holes in the mesh were, indeed, clogged up. In fact, when I initially ran water on the filter it pooled up on the mesh like a solid plate...pretty good sign that air wasn't able to pass through the filter properly.

I used a soft toothbrush and soap to clean the filter, and when I ran water to rinse it off it the water passed right through the mesh. I popped it back in and, voila...That fixed it!!
